(April 19, 2008)  GU15 Gold - Duncan, reigning Division II champions for 2008. are all smiles after winning Saturday to clinch a Premier 1 spot for next year.

New to our area or missed your age appropriate scheduled tryout?  You still may have the chance to participate in FC Alliance. The benefits of premier soccer are professional coaching, higher level competition, more intensive skills development, longer seasons, more playing opportunities, more training sessions, and teammates who share a common commitment for becoming high level soccer players.
Vinicius Gomes - 2008 Male Player of the Year
The FC Alliance board is proud to bestow the prestigious 2008 Male Player of the Year Award to Vinicius Gomes. Vinicius began his soccer career for FC Alliance when he was just 10 years old, and has been playing for our club ever since. Recently, as a Sophomore, he tried out and made the varsity team at Inglemoor high school. In addition to his soccer talents, Vinicius has achieved a 3.92 GPA and plans to attend college after graduation.




Whitney Kiker - 2008 Female Player of the Year
The FC Alliance board is proud to bestow the prestigious 2008 Female Player of the Year Award to Whitney Kiker. Amongst Whitney’s many accomplishments, she was again named all KINGCO 4A first team, and All State 2nd team for High School soccer, she is a swimming instructor at Gold’s Gym and has been selected as assistant coach for their swim team, is an honor students at Woodinville High with a 3.974 GPA, and has been accepted at the University of Washington.


FCA Academy of Excellence Clinics
These specialized camps run by Dayo Oyetuga, Academy Director, have been designed to develop the physical, mental and tactical skills necessary for players to compete at the highest level of performance.    The training atmosphere will be very challenging and demanding in each and every session.  Players will receive individual skill and situational training with positive, constructive feedback to promote self-confidence on and off the field.  The Academy program will consist of six 3-week training sessions with specific techniques to be covered.  There will be one week off between each session.  Now Open for Registration! 
 
Next session begins May 27 (U11 - U13) and May 28 (U13 - U16)

Open to all FC Alliance players, but space is limited so register soon to guarantee your spot!
Camp Casey Weekend May 9-11th
Get ready for a great weekend of soccer fun at Camp Casey!  

This is a great opportunity for you and your teammates to work on soccer skills, bond and just have fun. You’ll participate in morning and afternoon training sessions led by the FCA coaching staff, and play in several small-sided and full field games. In addition players will work on speed training, conditioning, and learn about nutrition.  

Registration will be completed through your team manager or appointed team camp casey coordinator

Boys U16 Gold Challenge Cup Champions!
(March 1, 2008)  FC Alliance BU16 Gold (Renkert) won the Challenge Cup Championship Saturday, beating Juventus 3-0 on a goal by Brandon Rise, and two by Graham Humphries.  "We knew we would face a very tough, battle-proven opponent and we needed to combat that," coach Jeff Renkert said. "The boys earned this victory, they stayed focused and didn’t make any errors."

Get Ready for a New Season and a New Look!

(February 21, 2008)  FC Alliance announced today that Adidas will become the club’s official uniform and equipment supplier for the 2008 season. Also, after ten years of wearing "Gold", unfortunately, the color has been discontinued.   However, we are proud to introduce a new jersey design and color beginning this season - Navy Blue & White.    “For FC Alliance, the opportunity to be outfitted in Adidas is ideal,” said Jane Speed, FCA VP Equipment. “The three stripes of Adidas are recognized throughout the world as a leader in the sport of soccer. We are excited to be part of Adidas’ vision supporting youth soccer in the Pacific Northwest.”

Commissioner Cup State Cup Finalists

(February 16, 2008) - Congratulations to FC Alliance White ’90, coached by Don Crane and assistant Graham Drake who were finalists in the BU17 Commissioners Cup this past weekend.

Womens Sounder Chalise Baysa Joins FC Alliance
(February 1, 2008)  Today, Dave Wymer welcomed Chalise Baysa to FC Alliance as a Club Training Coach.  “Chalise is a great addition to our training staff.   To have a semi-pro player of her quality working with our players, is just amazing.  Especially, for our older girls, where role models like Chalise will provide inspiration and ambition to push themselves to achieve their best  ”  In addition to being a starting forward for the Sounders,  she has coached youth soccer in the Northwest for many years, and is an assistant coach at Seattle Pacific University.
FCA Alumni Achieve Collegiate Success!
FC Alliance is proud to have many alumni currently and formerly, playing collegiate, semi-professional and adult soccer.  Here are just a few of our players that are playing at the collegiate level today.   Ashley Porter and Leah Wymer at Seattle University;  Jeannie Webster at Seattle Pacific University;  Megan Murray at Stoney Brook University;  Ashley McDougall at Western Washington University; and Austen Everett at UC Santa Barbara.

University of Washington; Jeff Hallenbeck and Nathan Elmenhurst at Seattle Pacific University; Jira Cooley and Osric Flores at Marshall University; Greg McKeever at Montana State - Billings; Joe Dunn at the University of Washington playing Baseball (played with FCA until U17 then played baseball full time); Brandon Henry at University of Puget Sound; and Blake Bernhard at California Lutheran University. 

Sounder Hugo Alcaraz-Cuellar New Club Trainer
(January 29, 2008)  Dave Wymer officially introduced Hugo Alcaraz-Cuellar today as the newest member of the 2008-09 FC Alliance training staff.   "We are thrilled to have Hugo join our club.  He brings a wealth of professional playing and coaching experience that will be an inspiration to all our young players", said Wymer.

Hugo Alcaraz-Cuellar played for the 2007 Sounders when they won the USL 1st Division Championship; scoring and assisting on a goal in the championship victory.  In his first season with the Sounders he led the team in assists. 
Announcing New Academy Director
(January 25, 2008) FC Alliance is excited to announce our clubs new Academy of Excellence Director,  Dayo Oyetuga.   As a graduate of Everett High School, former member of the University of Washington Soccer team and professional soccer player in Germany, Sweden and Finland he is knowledgeable and passionate about teaching the game of soccer to people of all ages.    According to Coaching Director Dave Wymer,   "We have been fortunate to have Dayo associated with our program for many years.  But, in his new Academy Director capacity, he will provide the leadership necessary for our players and teams of all ages to successfully move to the next level."    Dayo is also Program Director of First Touch Soccer Training, a local training company that provides individual and team training opportunities.

Student players, why wait to earn your community service hours when the time and opportunity are available right now!  NYSA is seeking student volunteers to donate 3-6 hours of their time in exchange for community service credits. If you love soccer, NYSA has the job for you!
